Why do you want be a part of Swinging with the Stars?
I wanted to join Swinging with the Stars for a few reasons – to get involved in the community, make new friends, and of course, raise money to support local causes. Since moving to the Penola area a year ago, I’ve felt so welcomed, and I see this as a great way to give back and say thank you. Plus, I love to dance (not necessarily good at it though)!
I am raising funds for the Stand Like Stone Foundation Penola Coonawarra Wellbeing Sub Fund.
Why do you want be a part of Swinging with the Stars?
To support the people that support our wonderful Limestone Coast community.

Why do you want be a part of Swinging with the Stars?
I have always admired Stand Like Stone and in particular the Swinging with the Stars event. I realised it was a rare opportunity to put myself out there and also give back to the community. I am keen to raise some money and play a small role in helping the Limestone Coast.

I thought that it was a good opportunity to step out of my comfort zone, and give the kids at school another reason to laugh at me!!

It’s always looked like a fun night, I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone and try something different.
I am raising funds for the Steven Noble Memorial Sub Fund.
Why do you want to be a part of Swinging with the Stars?
I’m not afraid of a bit of dancing and when asked to be involved it felt like one of those times to say ‘Yes’! I’m a community minded person and enjoy doing things for the greater good, and it is also a great opportunity to raise funds for a great cause.
I am raising funds for the Kingston Community School Sub Fund.

Why do you want to be a part of Swinging with the Stars?
When approached to consider participating, my first thought was, if not now, when? It gives me the chance to step back into a past life and learn new dance techniques I have never experienced before. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to give back and support not only Mount Gambier High School which I have been a part of for the best part of 20 years, but to promote and raise funds to ensure students have additional help available to access through the MGHS sub fund.

Swinging with the Stars is the key fundraiser for Stand Like Stone, providing an important source of administration funds to keep our community foundation operational. It also raises a significant amount of money that is used for grants and scholarships for the benefit of the people in the Limestone Coast Region.
